Cascina Baricchi

Overview

Cascina Baricchi is a small, artisan Barbaresco estate in Neive, run by Natale Simonetta. The estate produces a Barbaresco Riserva “Rose delle Casasse” from the Neive township, described by Gilman as “a stunning young Barbaresco” with “superb depth on the nose.” The 2018 Riserva earned 95 points in VFTC #117, with a drink window of 2040–2100.

Style Notes

Traditional Barbaresco style; the Rose delle Casasse Riserva is from the Neive township, adjacent to the Gallina and Montefico crus of Barbaresco commune. Neive produces some of Barbaresco’s most structured wines.
