Domaine Chicotot (George Chicotot) is a small Nuits-St-Georges producer specializing in 1er cru wines. The domaine holds parcels in several of the finest NSG premier crus on the Vosne-Romanée border — particularly Aux Boudots and Aux Thorey. The style is traditional Nuits: earthy, firm, structured, long-lived. A newer discovery for this cellar, with significant 2024-vintage purchases.

Style Notes

Classic Nuits-St-Georges character: earthy and robust, with red-black fruit, firm tannins, and the structured backbone of the appellation’s clay-limestone soils. The premier crus on the Vosne border show more refinement than those further south.

2023 Vintage Notes

Visited January 2025. Full range produced in the generous 2023 vintage. Premier crus (Boudots, Thorey) showed excellent depth. The 2023 vintage Chicotot wines were among the user’s new purchases.
