Domaine Pierrick Bouley
Overview
Pierrick Bouley is a rising Volnay domaine (12 ha, recently expanded with 3 ha of Bourgogne), separate from the related Thomas Bouley operation. Bouley uses no whole clusters, does not chaptalize (“I believe it’s important for the vintage label on the bottle to reflect the actual wine in the bottle”), and produces both standard and 24-month extended elevage cuvees. In Burghound #102, his 2024 Volnay “Clos des Chenes” scored 93 points — one of the highest-scoring Cote de Beaune wines in the entire issue.
Appellations
- Volnay 1er Cru: Champans, Clos des Chenes, Grands Champs (monopole within Mitans), “Unicorn” (special blend)
- Beaune 1er Cru: Montrevenots, Clos du Bas de Teurons
- Pommard (villages)
- Monthelie 1er Cru: Les Clous; village (Aux Fournereaux)
- Bourgogne Cote d’Or VV
Key Wines
- Volnay “Clos des Chenes” (1er cru) — 93 pts in 2024; “excellent and well-worth checking out”

Style Notes
No whole clusters, no chaptalization. Style emphasizes texture, energy, and transparency. Meadows: wines “should indeed drink well young but offer good mid-term cellaring potential.” All wines bottled December 2025.
